The Practice
History
We have been running our practice since 2017. Over this time, a small initiative has grown into a mature engineering operation capable of handling the full cycle of software engineering and long-term support. Our experience is closely tied to the international environment, where we find partners and lead projects in Brest and Minsk (Belarus), Moscow and Oryol (Russia), Kraków and Warsaw (Poland), Munich (Germany), Miami, Washington, New York, and San Francisco (USA).
Technological Continuity
Any organization designing a system will inevitably reproduce its own communication structure within that system. We view ourselves as a blank page that, for the duration of our collaboration, carefully adopts the natural pattern of that structure and reflects it. We collaborate with civil society, government, academia, non-profit organizations and industry to promote technological continuity across all sectors.
We Build Legible Systems
We aim to build frontier software systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. We conduct research, develop and apply a variety of interface design techniques, and deploy the resulting systems via partnerships.
Interdisciplinary
Zhorben is a collaborative team of researchers, engineers, policy experts, business leaders and operators, who bring our experience from many different domains to our work.

Zhorben is an independent engineering practice whose purpose is the development and long-term maintenance of specialized software systems. The practice is privately held and led by its founder.
